Janine Bratu
Violinist
Janine Bratu was born in Rivoli (Turin, Italy) on 12/06/2003. She started playing violin at 8 years old. She graduated in violin in 2022 with 110/110 cum laude under the guidance of violinist Giacomo Agazzini, at the Turin conservatory Giuseppe Verdi. She is now attending the last year of postgraduate course in the same institution. She attended the orchestral formation course at APM Saluzzo, a course held by the first part of the Teatro Regio of Turin. She performed live on Rai Radio 3, in duo with pianist Alessandro Vaccarino. She collaborated with the ballet of Teatro di Torino, where she played Bach Sonatas and Partitas for a choreography created by Manfredi Perego. She won a competition held by the Turin conservatory in order to select soloists among the students, to play solo repertoire accompanied by the conservatory orchestra, with which she played the Sinfonia Concertante by W.A. Mozart, with violist Leonardo Vezzadini, in January 2024 at the opening concert of the Nacht und Tag festival, a musical festival dedicated entirely to Mozart’s music. She collaborates with many orchestras such as: Orchestra Filarmonica del Teatro Regio di Torino, Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, Orchestra del Conservatorio di Torino. She played as principal first violin in Obiettivo Orchestra, conducted by Donato Renzetti. She performed in many different chamber music formations (duo with piano, string quartet, piano quintet) in different music festivals such as : Serate musicali del Conservatorio di Torino, Rassegna Musica a Corte (Venaria Reale, Turin), Back to Bach, Unione Musicale, and at Hagen and Unna) (Germany) She took part in many masterclasses with great violinists like: Daniel Stabrawa, Ilya Grubert, Lukas Hagen, Daniel Roberts, Fabio Biondi, Marco Rizzi, Cristophe Giovaninetti and Pablo Valletti. She also attends the chamber music course at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona with Bruno Giuranna, participating with the Dedalo Quintet.
